Mark Ratti, Sr. began life as a school teacher for the city of Pittsburgh.  Real estate started out as a way to earn a living and keep busy over the summer vacations.  Mark soon realized that real estate was more than a part time job, but a full time career.  After twelve years in the school system, he "retired" and devoted himself to real estate full time. 

Mark Sr. has been married to Carol Hirsh Ratti for 45 years.  They have resided in the community of Pleasant Hills for the past 36 years, living in the same home the entire time.  Together they have 3 children, Michelle, Mark Jr., and Drew, plus 5 remarkable grandchildren!  Driving through Pleasant Hills you just might see Mark Sr. on one of his daily walks, accompanied by Bentley, the family's chocolate lab.  (You can find photos of Bentley on this website!)  

Community involvement has been important to Mark Sr. throughout his life.  He has run for school board, served on the school board of Hillcrest Christian School, and served as a volunteer Business Administrator to help keep the school running during lean times.  Mark has coached his children in basketball, t-ball, and soccer; taught CCD and Sunday school; counseled college students for Campus Life Ministries, and continues to be a member of the South Hills Assembly church in Bethel Park.  He recently served as District Chairman for the Steel City Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America.  For Mark Sr., community is more than just living in a house; it's giving of yourself to improve that community.
